Come visit our lovely Whitwell City Park Today!

The The Whitwell City Park has so much to be desired,
so many wonderful things to do and for families to engage in together.
We have a Baseball field, a Basketball and a Tennis court and even playground
equipment for the kiddies! There is a fantastic walking track that is a quarter mile long,
so when you walk 4 rounds, you have walked one full mile! There are so many of the
Whitwell residents who take those great strides almost everyday.

On Laboy Day every single year, The Whitwell City Park is the ending point of the
parade of the Great Labor Day Celebration this sweet little town holds each and every
year, and then the wonderful festivities begin! Lot's of booths with wonderful local
crafts and also great food with local's recipes. Lot's of great entertainment and even
a Car Show! It's also where each new "Miss Whitwell" is announced on Labor Day at
night's end after all the fun is said and done for! But wait, there's also the Fireworks
that finishes the night with a great big bang on Labor Day!

The Whitwell City Park is also the home of the Sequatchie Valley Saddle Club,
So come on right now and enjoy all that our beautiful Park has to offer everyday to
all of our residents, and anyone who comes to visit this quaint little town, and make
sure you are here on every Labor Day for fun and enjoyment, and to support this great
little American Park located on Highway 28 at the northern edge of the city limits.

Other events include:

Park Committee Meetings - 1st Thursday of each month after City meetings.

Please call at anytime, and if anyone has something to suggest about our lovely
park just contact Whitwell City Hall at - (423)658-5151 for more information.
